U13 B - Kevin Lehman
Kevin grew up playing minor hockey, predominantly at the AA level. He was lucky enough to win OMHA’s at the age of 16, and that is one of the highlights of his playing days. Kevin’s first coaching experience came as an on-ice helper at the age of 18, where he joined to help a peewee team.

He has three boys, two of which have played hockey with the Milton Winterhawks organization, and he has been an active member of the organization through coaching and as an on-ice helper for the past 8 years. He has also been a non-parent coach. Kevin started his coaching career with the Winterhawks in house league in minor atom with his middle son in 2017, and started coaching initiation with his youngest in 2019. For the last 4 years, he has coached at the B/BB/AE level from U9 to U12. He has been an on-ice helper in B/BB/AE from U14 to U16. Kevin’s philosophy for being a BB volunteer is focused on development on and off the ice, creating an environment where kids can learn and enjoy the game of hockey. He teaches players to play the game as a team, focusing on teamwork and passing. He likes to say that he has a 5-man offense and 5-man defence, with all players involved at both ends of the ice. He generally uses fair play as a strategy, with all players having the opportunity to play multiple positions and play in all game scenarios (power play, penalty kill, end of game, etc). Most of all, Kevin loves the game of hockey and wants his players to come away from their season feeling the same way.
