The expenses associated with minor
hockey can prevent some children from participating in the sport. However,
thanks to a generous donation, MMHA can offer financial support to some local
families facing financial hurdles. All applications and related financial
details are kept confidential.
Eligibility
- Applications
may be made for players 5-17 years old, who are registered in or planning to
register in Milton Minor Hockey Association’s House League program
- Applicants
must reside in Milton.
- All
required documents must be completed and received in full to be considered.
- Each
individual grant will be at the discretion of the “House League Assistance
Fund” committee.
- Financial
assistance will cover House League registration fees (to a maximum of $1,000)
for the current season and is limited to one application per player per season.

Note:
if the player receives financial assistance from another source (e.g. Hockey Canada
Assist Fund) towards MMHA registration, the House League Assistance Fund payment
will be reduced by the amount of the other funding (e.g. no individual or
family shall receive more financial assistance from any source towards MMHA
registration than the total cost of registration).
- Assistance
is dependent on the financial situation of each child and funding will be
determined by the MMHA “House League Assistance Fund” committee

reviewed. Applicants will be notified if
their submission is approved.

from player or parent/guardian attesting to financial need and why the child /
youth wants to play hockey.

Proof
of total household income from previous year (copy of previous year CRA Notice
of Assessment for parent(s); other documentation may be considered depending on
circumstances).
