This will be Andrew’s 8th season
coaching with the Winterhawks program. From beginner hockey, including squirt,
to U12A, he has held many positions including trainer, assistant and, for the
last 3 seasons, head coach. Hockey has always been a part of his life. He
played various levels of representative hockey growing up in Milton and has
great memories of bus trips, tournaments, and big playoff wins.
He still plays hockey with many of the same players from his childhood teams. With on ice and player development, Andrew focuses on creating a positive and competitive team environment to develop players’ individual and team game tactics. He collaborates and uses multiple sources from the community to level up their game play. For this level and age group, Andrew’s player development will be focused on building competitive drive, developing and improving individual hockey skills, and learning team tactics. His overall goal as a coach is to improve players’ skills on the ice, build confidence that they can carry off the ice, and give them a positive hockey environment and experience that they will carry with them over their hockey journey.
