Born and raised in
Etobicoke, Ontario, David developed his hockey skills and passion for the game
through 11 years of AA hockey in the GTHL. His playing experience provided him
with a deep understanding of the game, shaping his perspective on teamwork, competition,
and personal development. His coaching philosophy is built on three core
pillars: teamwork, discipline, and accountability. He believes that success in
hockey—both on and off the ice—is achieved when players embrace a team-first
mentality, demonstrating commitment to their teammates and a willingness to
support one another.
Discipline
is equally critical, as it instills work ethic, responsibility, and respect for
the game. By emphasizing accountability, he encourages players to take
ownership of their development while understanding the importance of their role
within the team. Beyond skill development, he strives to create an environment
where young athletes can cultivate a genuine love for the game. He believes
that fostering a positive, structured, and supportive atmosphere helps players
not only reach their potential but also build character, resilience, and
confidence. His goal is to inspire and guide his players, helping them develop
both as athletes and as individuals who carry the values of teamwork,
dedication, and integrity throughout their lives.
