Hello Milton Winterhawks Families and Friends
In 1946 Cliff Houston started the towns first minor hockey
association when he offered free Saturday morning ice time at the Fred
Armstrong Arena on Brown Street. He seized the moment and gathered 32
boys ages 12-15 to create four teams. A year later, he coached and registered
Milton’s first team in the OMHA playdowns. Since then, many Milton teams have
won championships at various levels and produced players like John Tonelli,
Mike Kaszycki, Darren Eliot, Enio Sclisizzi, Peter McDuffe and Darren Haydar.
In honor of our 75th Anniversary as an organization, we would like
to give back to our members and kids that proudly wear the Winterhawks logo by
hosting events the week of November 27.
