MMHA Season Update
Submitted By Tanya Croke on Sunday, November 15, 2020
Dear members,   As most of you already know the Halton region will be placed into the “Red” Covid zone effective Monday November 16 at 12:01 am. With this comes restrictions on how we can deliver programming to our membership.   Under these new restrictions we are only allowed to have a maximum of 10 people in a particular arena. This includes players and coaches and no spectators are allowed at all. This obviously causes us problems as our current model allows a maximum of 20 players on the ice and up to 3 coaches.

We are in the process of working with the Town of Milton to come up with a plan to allow us to provide a revised program until we are out of the current restrictions. To be clear these restrictions are being implemented by the Provincial government and the public health authorities. The Town of Milton has worked with us throughout our return to play process and continue to do what they can to help us continue to provide programming.

In order for us to have time to work with the Town of Milton and to understand if there is a path forward to providing programming we will be suspending programming effective Monday November 16. Our goal is to have a definitive plan completed and communicated by Wednesday November 18th.

We understand there will be lots of questions but please bear with us as we work through these details.

Sincerely,

Milton Minor Hockey Association Board of Directors
