Good Deeds Cup Peewee AE Blue needs your help
Submitted By Tanya Croke on Monday, December 10, 2018
Hello Milton Winterhawk Families    This season our team is participating in the Good Deeds Cup and we need your help!!!!!

You may have seen the commercials for it during Hockey Night in Canada.  The Good Deeds Cup is all about getting out into your community and making a difference.  This season we chose our good deed as a topic that was very personal to our team.
Our Milton Winterhawks Peewee AE Blue team has been running organ donor registration drives. Please come see us if you are at the Milton Sports Centre this Sunday December 16th from 3:00-7:00 pm. You can also help us online by registering to be a donor. Even if you are already registered please click on the link to confirm it as your click confirming will also help us reach our goal.
Did you know that Milton is currently ranked  158 out of 170 communities for registered organ donors? Only 28% of Miltonians are registered organ donors ..... COME ON MILTON - WE CAN DO BETTER ! Last season our nation was inspired by Logan Boulet  of the Humboldt Broncos who saved the lives of at least six people when he donated his organs after the tragedy last April.  Our team has also been touched by Organ Donation on a much more more personal level.    The mother of one of our players was an Organ Recipient 5 years ago and would not be here cheering on our Winterhawks with out it.  The Grandfather of one of our players was a donor when he passed away after an accident in 2013 and was able to enhance the lives of others.  As a team we are asking everyone over the age of 16 to either register, or confirm your registration as an Organ Donor.   We have set our goal at 500 and currently we are just over half way. Please follow the link below, all you need is your health card.   Even if you are already a registered Organ Donor, please follow the link and double check with your health card.

By doing this it will helps us reach and surpass our goal of 500 clicks!
Click Here to helps our Peewee AE Blue team achieve their goal.

Milton Winterhawks Peewee AE Blue - The Ultimate good deed - BE A DONOR

Milton Winterhawks Peewee AE Blue were inspired to create this page in honour of some special people to our team who have been touched by organ and tissue donation. We were very surprised to learn that over 1,500 Ontarians are waiting for a live-saving organ transplant but less than 30% of Ontarians have registered their consent to be donors.
