2017-18 House League Season
Welcome to the 2017-18 House League season:
Some of our processes have changed this season.
Please carefully read the information below :
Novice 2009 to Bantam 2003-04 only Game-style Evaluations:
In order to better balance teams at the start of the season, MMHA will be holding house league evaluations. All evaluations will be held at the MSC. Please arrive at least 40 minutes prior to your ice time and check in at the evaluation desk.
NEW: Tentative Evaluation Teams have been predetermined. All players Novice (2009) to Bantam (2002-03) will participate in a GAME style evaluation. Coaches have received their tentative team lists and will be contacting you shortly with your tentative team placement. Please check the website for your scheduled evaluation date and time. Navigate to House League (left side of home page)>your division>your team> Scroll down the page to find your calendar> Click on Full Calendar. After the evaluation weekend, coaches will be meeting to make changes to their tentative teams, if necessary.
**Please note that teams are not considered final until November. Teams will continue to be balanced until such a time as it is determined the season will be as fair and equitable as possible to all teams.
Tyke (2010): Tentative teams have been predetermined and coaches will be in contact soon. No evaluations are required for Tyke. Teams are not considered final until November. There will be player movement to balance teams.
Beginner and Timbit (2011-2013): Coaches will receive their team lists mid-September and will be in touch shortly afterward. A parent meeting is being held on Sunday, Sept 10th, from 12-2pm at Lions Hall (Memorial Arena upstairs).
Midget and Senior (1997-2002): Teams will be predetermined on Sept. 10th, after the Midget AA tryout. No evaluations are required for Midget/Senior House. Coaches will be in contact mid-September.
Respect In Sport for Parents: If you have recently received an email advising you to complete the parent Respect in Sport Program, please do so at least a week prior to your child’s first ice time. Failure to do so will result in your child not being able to participate in any on ice activities until such time as it is completed. (*Note: This program only needs to be completed once, however each child in the family needs to be linked to your RIS account. Refer to the home page of our website under Parent's Corner for more detailed information.)
Equipment: Please ensure your child is in full gear whenever on the ice.
An equipment list is posted on the website under parent’s corner. For all goalie equipment inquiries please contact [email protected]
