Atom A Team Spreading Holiday Cheer!
The Milton Winterhawks Atom A team participated in the Halton Children's Aid Society Holiday Program for the second year in a row. This program aims to brighten the holiday season by providing gifts and necessities to those who have been referred to the Holiday Program.
The coaching staff, players and families met before practice last Saturday to purchase gifts and necessities for teenagers in our community.
The boys, armed with their lists, hit the store and were able to successfully fill their lists and check them twice.
The gifts purchased will surely bring joy to those who receive them!
This was an invaluable experience for the boys as it encourages them to get involved in their community more importantly however is it allows them to recognize that there are many families and individuals in their community who are less fortunate than they are.
